Our experience was awful! The beginning was ok got a contract was told what we could use were shown the hall everything seemed perfect. We paid a lot of MONEY to use the hall and the church for my niece's Sweet Fifteen. When we arrived to decorate we were treated like trash. The same gentleman that helped us rent the hall kept staring at everyone helping setup for my niece's party. It was so uncomfortable that my sister felt it was very disrespectful since we did have a contract and paid a fair amount a money for the place. The gentleman continued to to say we couldn't use the main fridge which he had stated to us we could use when we came to see the hall. He was rude and made us feel unwelcome and for a church to treat others so shamefully it really brought concern to me. I felt so bad for my sister and my family and friends who were helping out. We were being rushed to finish decorating for such a special occasion that comes once in a lifetime. We should have been treated more kindly. We were told we had to leave at 3 because the hall was closing we really needed to finish up and the same gentleman continued to say 8 hours is enough. And it really wasn't we at least needed 2 hours more to finish. The gentleman was being tough and rude so eventually he said to come in Te next day and finish up. The day of the party everything seemed okay until the end of the night which we happened to wrap up early we were given till 11:00 and wrapped up at 8 and left at 9:45 we were trying to help clean and leave Sarah Porter beautiful as it was but the attendant was rude we had bags of garbage and no place to throw them people were trying to help but the attendant took chairs away from people helping and stacked them himself at the end as soon as my sister stepped foot outside the attendant slammed the door shut on her face along with my mother who was there and my father and family!!! Never Again we are a Christian Family and cannot believe this Church and some of its staff treated us!!! I am so hurt and disappointed in Farmington, CT church.
